Where is Examination Services located on the UNI campus?

Examination Services is located in room 007 (first floor) Innovative Teaching and Technology Center (ITTC).  Please click here to see a detailed campus map. For an interactive map, click the link to the right titled "Directions to ALC."

What is the best entrance to get to Examination Services?

The three East-facing doors (facing the Physics Building and College Street) are open during all testing hours. 

Where do I park?

It is recommended that you utilize the parking ramp (Multimodal Transportation Center) located on West 23rd Street. Click here for more information.

How do I schedule an exam?

Please view scheduling requirements for the exam you are interested in by clicking the Test Information page from the drop-down menu at the top of the page. 

What can I bring to my exam?

You do not need to bring anything except your registration forms and proper ID(s), unless your exam guidelines state something specific (for example, if calculators are allowed, you can bring one).  Nothing is allowed in the testing room except the items we provide to you. Small lockers (with a lock and key) are provided for personal items. 

Can I bring my cell phone or other electronic devices?

All electronic devices must be shut off prior to entering the testing area and stored in a locker. You will select a locker and be asked to place all items in the lockable locker provided. Nothing can go into the testing room, except items given to you during the check-in process. You will keep the locker key while testing and return to the locker at the end of your testing session.

What are the charges associated with my exam?

Is my information kept confidential?

UNI Examination Services abides by the university confidentiality policy.  For more information please visit UNI's Office of the Registrar.

Why should I test at UNI?

UNI is a member of the National College Testing Association (NCTA) and adheres to the Consortium of College Testing Centers guidelines.

What special accommodations do you offer?

Individuals requiring special accommodations should review the testing company's policies. You must follow the accommodation request procedures of the testing company. Please do not schedule your exam before your accommodation has been approved. 

What is UNI Examination Service's weather policy?

Please check the UNI Weather Information page.  If inclement weather occurs during university hours (M-F 8:00 am-5:00 pm), please contact Examination Services at 319-273-6023.  If inclement weather occurs outside of university hours, email Examination Services at Dawn.Larsen@uni.edu before leaving for Examination Services.
